About Rhonda Denise Johnson

Rhonda Denise Johnson
Why Rhonda Writes
Rhonda sits down at her computer and looks at that first blank page, wondering what on Earth she's supposed to do with it. What makes her think she can . . .? But when an idea is percolating in her head, she knows a story is there, and she must write it. She imagines you, the reader, smiling, laughing, hollering at her characters, remembering something in your life, and she gets a very good feeling. It's like when you know what your purpose is in life, and it's something that affects people in a good way.
What Rhonda Writes
As a reader, Rhonda's fascinated by well-written fantasy novels. As a writer, she finds that magic just naturally works its way into her stories, even when she's not purposefully writing a straight-up fantasy novel.

Travel through time and space in The Crossroads of Time , Book One of the Orisha Series.

Discover the captivating secrets of a very small world when you join Jawan's quest to stop the bad guys in Queen of the Quantum Realm, Book One of the Nanosia Series. Then follow Jawan's friend Loby as he unravels the secret of his power in Fire Master, Book Two of the Nanosia Series.

Personal Motto
Despair will not help me solve a probllem or make it go away, so why give in to it?
Education
Rhonda has a masters in English from California State University, Los Angeles, where she taught basic writing to undergraduates as part of the Teaching Associate program. Most of her students spoke English as a second language or came from high schools that did not adequately prepare them for college level writing. It was her job to prepare them to pass the writing proficiency exam. She wrote a paper for and moderated over a graduate conference and served as vice president of the Creative Writing Club.
